Minister Padrino: Venezuelans voted in defense of peace and in rejection of sanctions

The Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, highlighted that during the election day of July 28, it was demonstrated that the Venezuelan people came out in defense of the value of peace as a society and in rejection of imperial sanctions against the country.

“I am sure that if the Venezuelan people came out to vote for something, it was because of that national consensus, which is the daily and permanent construction of peace as a value, and they also did so to condemn the sanctions imposed by North American imperialism and its allies against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which have done so much harm to the people,” said Padrino López.

He added that even before the final results of the electoral process are known, it can be assured that the Venezuelan people have risen up with great force against the sanctions and to demand their end.
