Minister Padrino: We have a robust and suitable FANB for the defense of sovereignty

The Minister of Popular Power for the Defense of Venezuela, Vladimir Padrino López, ratified the commitment of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), to the protection of national sovereignty, in the face of threats from extremists supported by former Colombian leaders Iván Duque and Álvaro Uribe.

“We are ready, my Commander in Chief Nicolás Maduro. We have a strong FANB that is suitable for the defense of the sovereignty of Venezuela,” said Padrino López through a publication in his account on the social network Threads, hours after the National President's Annual Message to the National Assembly (AN), at the Teresa Carreño Theater.

He also emphasized to the extremists: “Make no mistake, because here we are determined to preserve peace.”

The publication was accompanied by audiovisual material, in which President Nicolás Maduro asked the FANB, all its components, the intelligence and counterintelligence police forces and the People's Power not to let their guard down.

“Let's take seriously the criminal threats of the narco-paramilitary Álvaro Uribe and Iván Duque and let's prepare ourselves because this land will never accept the insolent boot of paramilitaries, neither foreigners nor imperialists,” said Maduro.
