The Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Arnaldo Sánchez, said that Venezuela is 100% ready to be the home of the South American U-20 tournament.
During a press conference prior to the start of the South American Under-20 Football Championship at the facilities of the Metropolitan Stadium in the state of Lara, Sánchez accompanied by the president of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee, María Soto and the president of the Venezuelan Football Federation, Jorge Giménez, reported that there is a complete security deployment so that the fans can enjoy the event with great peace.
He also emphasized that all the stadiums are ready and all the conditions are guaranteed for fans to support our national team.
Sánchez said that President Nicolás Maduro guaranteed all the necessary resources for an extraordinary event to take place and for Venezuelan football to continue making history, according to the Ministry of Sport press.
For his part, Giménez stressed that the “king sport” returns to the twilight city after its respective recovery to give fans and players a high-rise complex.
“We wanted to have this stadium ready for the 2024 pre-Olympic soccer match, it was not achieved, but we continued to work and today we have a stage suitable not only to show it to South America, but to the world,” he said
Venezuela U20 will make its debut this one against Chile on Thursday, January 23 at 7:30 PM.
