The People's Power Minister for Petroleum, Rafael Tellechea, assured that maintaining illegal sanctions against countries with large oil and gas reserves such as Venezuela, Russia and Iran weakens long-term investments and exposes the world to a supply crisis.

“The blockade threatens the security of the global energy market,” Tellechea said in a message posted on his account on the social network X.

The sanctions imposed by the North American Government have directly affected the economy of Venezuela, as a country that thrives on oil rentism.
