Minister Velásquez: San Rafael de El Moján Pier in Zulia will facilitate commercial exchange

During an inspection carried out in the state of Zulia, this Friday, May 02, the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, accompanied by the candidate for the Governor, for the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB) in the entity, Luis Caldera, carried out an inspection of the San Rafael Pier in El Moján.

He reported that a new structure will soon be built and inaugurated, as part of the efforts of the Bolivarian Government to guarantee communication and commercial exchange on this important navigation channel between the municipalities of Mara and Padilla, the ministerial body reported on its account on the social network Instagram.

Velásquez Araguayán also highlighted that 93 road works are being carried out between bridges, sewers, asphalt and agricultural roads, and that the areas to be intervened in the Mara municipality were evaluated, which will be extended to the entire state.

He also highlighted the dredging work being carried out by the workforce at the mouth of the Catatumbo River, with the objective of controlling the flow of water during the rainy season, and thus reducing accidents that may occur in terms of floods.

For his part, the candidate Caldera stated that “the sister town of Almirante Padilla, which will have its wharf fully equipped to guarantee not only navigation and sailing, but to support the conditions of stay in these spaces, so that they can have the good life that Commander Hugo Chávez always ordered us to live”.

Minister Velásquez Araguayán and Caldera held a meeting with the purpose of evaluating the transportation and road projects currently being carried out by the National Executive in the entity.

In the same way, the 57 projects approved by the communities in the National Popular Consultation last Sunday, April 27, were reviewed, in order to establish the Government Plan for the upcoming elections on May 25, for the welfare of the people of Zulians.
