Through his account on the social network Instagram, the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, reported that work teams are still deployed rehabilitating road arteries that were damaged due to heavy rains.

“Our Bolivarian Government remains deployed to fulfill the task entrusted by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, to guarantee its rehabilitation in the next 60 days,” he said.

In this regard, he indicated that work began this weekend for the demolition of the La Trinidad bridge, located in the Morador sector of the Ospino municipality, in the Portuguese state. At the same time, he recalled that the road structure collapsed as a result of the heavy rainfall recorded in recent days and that it caused the total closure of the vehicle passage on the José Antonio Páez highway.

On the other hand, Velásquez Araguayán assured that together as a single work team, the national, regional, local and communal government, with the Andes 2025 task force, is making rapid progress in caring for the people and the rehabilitation of the road that connects Mérida with Barinas and Trujillo.

“We are going to meet the established deadlines to return passability to all Merida residents. Perfect fusion in action! Just as our president Maduro said,” he said.
