The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, highlighted the organizational strength and projects implemented by the Carubarigua Socialist Commune, located in the Colina municipality of Falcón state, during the installation of a popular government room in that territory.

He also stressed that the Carubarigua Commune has a long tradition of popular organization, with a communal governing chamber that has been consolidated for a long time for the execution of various projects.

“I am very pleased that they are clear about the map of what exists and the map of dreams that they call 'What we deserve'. But they don't deserve it just because they are individuals who exist on the planet, but because of their admirable level of organization and consciousness, because they have found in communal organization the way to solve problems and realize dreams. It's an exemplary commune,” he said.

He highlighted that the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture plans to accompany the tourism promotion of the Taima Taima archaeological site that this commune houses in its jurisdiction. In addition, he pointed out the importance of making visible the projects implemented by this commune to stimulate the emergence of other popular organizing initiatives in the country's communal circuits. “Venezuela is setting an example of its own path of construction, of a form of organization, of a more humane society,” he said.

The head of Culture indicated that the forms of popular organization must be related to the geographical, climatic, social and economic characteristics of the sectors where they live, so the people must be the protagonists of the policies that are carried out in those territories.

In this regard, he indicated that different State institutions will support the communal projects approved in the popular consultations of 2025.
