Minister Zerpa: 1,900 prisoners exercised their right to vote

The Ministry of People's Power for the Penitentiary Service guaranteed the right to vote to the 1,900 people deprived of their liberty who have not yet been sentenced.
The information was released by the minister of this respect, Julio García Zerpa, after exercising his right to vote in the Simoncito de Barrancas, in the upper part of the municipality of Cárdenas in the state of Táchira.
He specified that the entity set up the Western Penitentiary Center, in which not only those deprived of their liberty authorized to exercise their right but also the surrounding community participated.
Regarding the electoral process, he indicated that it took place in calm and tranquility, once again demonstrating the citizenship of the population at the time of exercising full democracy of the population.
