Ministries of Electric Energy and Transportation strengthen Caracas Metro service

The Sectorial Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services (VSOPS) set up a working table, with the participation of the Minister of People's Power for Transportation to strengthen attention to the Caracas Metro System, in the area of electrical energy.

This was reported by the sector vice president in the area of public services, Juan Ramírez, who specified that, with this table, “an action plan is generated” to address all the news of the service, to guarantee, through the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) and the Operations Control Center of the Caracas Metro, for effective communication that allows them to provide an answer.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of People's Power for Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá, and the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Jacqueline Fanía, as well as the president of CORPOELEC, José Luis Betancourt, among other authorities of this body.

In this regard, the holder of the Transportation portfolio, explained that in this underground mode of public transport, around 450,000 users are mobilized daily in Caracas.

He stressed that this mobilization is possible “thanks to the electricity service and the commitment of workers,” CORPOELE reports.

He also highlighted that the Caracas Metro and CORPOELEC are two institutions that offer vital services to the people that guarantee citizenship and the right to live in this city.
