The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, held a meeting with the head of the Ecosocialism portfolio, Alfred Nazareth Ñáñez and the president of the National Institute of Parks (Inparks), Rosinés Chávez, with the objective of guaranteeing human balance and absolute respect for nature in National Parks.
This meeting comes after the successful results of the Carnival for Peace 2026 and in preparation for the next Holy Week holiday.
Together with a multidisciplinary team, highly sensitive issues were addressed, such as the need for eco-sustainable tourism and the importance of National Parks in this new approach to recreation and enjoyment in balance with nature.
It should be noted that the Morrocoy National Park in the state of Falcón, was the most visited natural destination in the past few days of vacation with more than 354 thousand people, so the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, called for public awareness and ordered the immediate installation of a Technical Work Board.
Venezuela has 43 National Parks and 36 natural monuments, which correspond to areas and territories that house ecosystems that must be protected from alteration by human exploitation or occupation.
In these areas, recreational, tourist and educational activities are allowed, as well as scientific research.
