Ministry of Communication denounces the fake channel “Patria Digital”

The Digital Communication Directorate of the Ministry of People's Power for Communication and Information (MPPCI) reported that the spaces on Telegram and WhatsApp identified as “Patria Digita l” are not part of the government body or any official institution, so their content has no connection with the State.

The institution has invited citizens not to consider this channel as an official source and to avoid its dissemination, in line with national efforts to safeguard peace and accompany actions for the release of President Nicolás Maduro and the first combatant Cilia Flores.

The MIPPCI has emphasized that, in the current context, the dissemination of messages without legitimate basis contributes to generating confusion and compromises communication work aimed at exposing Venezuela's position before the international community and defending sovereignty.

For information security reasons, the country was urged not to replicate publications from “Patria Digital”, warning that their objective is to promote disorder and social division.

The institution reiterated the invitation to maintain cohesion and to face together any attempt at communicative manipulation.
