Ministry of Culture completes file to apply for arepa as Intangible Heritage of Humanity

The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, reported that “the file is ready to apply for the Venezuelan arepa as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity, which will be presented to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)”.

From his user on the social network Instagram, he explained that the file is called La Arepa Venezolana: Elaboration, Consumption and Identity in the Family and Public Space.

He specified that the file was consolidated by the Center for Cultural Diversity, an organization attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, whose mission is to interact with the different expressions of Venezuelan cultural diversity, valuing it for the benefit of Latin American and Caribbean integration
