This Tuesday, the provision of uniforms and footwear to Venezuelan teachers began, as part of the social care plan activated this Monday by the Ministry of Education.

From the Luís Beltrán Prieto Figueroa Educational Unit, in the Sucre municipality of Miranda state, Minister Héctor Rodríguez pointed out that the objective of this delivery is to support teaching staff in their daily activities.

In addition, according to a press release from the Education Portfolio, Rodríguez explained that for the uniformity of education workers, the collection of data relating to sizes and work dynamics began at each campus.

“Uniformity has to be adapted to the teacher's task. You can't put a stiff suit on the kindergarten or preschool teacher. There we need more of a medical jumpsuit uniform, which is elastic, fresh, and that's the way we're working on it. This is a great effort that President Nicolás Maduro is making to guarantee all working conditions for all teachers,” he said.

Rodríguez added that this is a first delivery of 200,000 pairs of shoes that the Minister of Education purchased together with the Ministry of Commerce.

“Already with the sizes we will buy the rest of the shoes, and with the measurements we will also make the uniforms. I want everyone to have their beautiful uniforms and we're going in that direction,” he said.

The special social care plan developed by the Ministry of Education covers, in addition to uniforms, housing, recreation, training, credit, health, mobility and food.
