Ministry of Health delivered contraceptive implants to women in Monagas

The Ministry of Popular Power for Health held a day on sexual and reproductive health at the Dr. Luis Fernando Vera Betancourt Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI) belonging to the Punceres Comprehensive Community Health Area (ASIC), located in the state of Monagas.
According to the ministerial portfolio, a total of 71 users benefited from educational sessions, removal, placement and revision of intrauterine devices (IUDs), delivery of contraceptive ampoules, emergency pills and delivery of condoms.
Yorvis Urbaneja, director and coordinator of the Child and Adolescent Sexual Health and Reproductive Health Program, explained that promotion and prevention are the main objectives in primary health care.
