In order to strengthen the National Public Health System (SPNS) and in compliance with social protection policies, immunization days were held in the state of Mérida to ensure the well-being of both the civilian population and workers in the health sector.
These actions are carried out in collaboration with Governor Arnaldo Sánchez and officials from the region.
In the Libertador municipality, the multidisciplinary team of the Venezuela Outpatient Clinic, attached to the Milla Comprehensive Community Health Area (ASIC), deployed in the May Day sector of the Spinetti Dini parish. The activity was carried out under the “house to house” strategy, where health personnel mobilized throughout the community, addressing each family in order to guarantee free access to vaccines and complement immunization schedules by applying doses of antiamaryllic and diphtheria tetanus toxoid.
In addition, the Health Corporation of the Bolivarian State of Mérida (CORPOSALUD) held a conference aimed at its staff with the firm purpose of strengthening preventive medicine and ensuring institutional epidemiological safety. In a joint effort with the El Llano Type III Urban Outpatient Clinic, a specialized team was deployed for the application of vaccines against yellow fever and toxoid, ensuring that those who care for the health of the town of Merida have the necessary conditions to carry out their work in complete safety.
