As part of the 6th apex of the Productive Conglomerate, a company attached to the Ministry of Industries and National Production, the constitution, consolidation and expansion of the Productive Conglomerate of the Chemical-Plastic sector, authorities visit green plastic processing companies, such as “Talleres Neo”, located in the Sucre municipality of Miranda state, in order to strengthen the chain and commercialization of this industrial sector in the country.
In this regard, Héctor Bravo, president of the CPSA, explained that the objective of these visits is to contribute to the strengthening of these green companies “with the initial segregation of waste, transportation, processing, commercialization and use of these reusable products, produced by these ecological companies”.
For his part, Gabriel Santana, director of the workshop, said that this is a recycling company in Caracas that transforms waste into valuables and makes a great effort to strengthen and contribute to what has been done in Venezuela.
“We work with raw material from Venezuelan waste and transform it. It is a very big challenge that we accept with great emotion, to compete with imported goods that have very low prices, but we know that there is a consumer who values it, so we try to reduce our costs in order to offer a more affordable price for them,” said the environmentalist.
Santana explained that they buy raw materials from recycling companies: “With recycled plastic we make materials and lenses; with advertising billboards and banners that they donate to us, we make card holders; I also have a backpack made of canvas with the waxed of the cargo trucks. In addition, we have prototyped shoes with damaged school uniforms and we make glasses that we cut from bottles of different types.”
He clarified that some of the products they sell have imported raw materials, “such as the flannels we make recycled, we bring the yarn from outside, but for the most part, I call it Venezuelan garbage.”
He stressed that the idea is to replace imports and strengthen the economy: “Because when you buy a product made in Venezuela, you are paying for the raw material, labor, production and sale all in Venezuela. But when you buy an imported product, the only one who is winning is the importer.”
These actions are based on ecosocialist policies, promoted by President Nicolás Maduro and promoted by the Minister of Industries and National Production, Alex Saab, in order to contribute to the environment and strengthen national production.
