Within the framework of the Decree of the State of Economic Emergency, authorities from the Ministry of Industries and National Production set up a technical table with representatives of the Venezuelan toy sector to articulate actions to promote the growth of this sector. The initiative prioritizes innovation in the area, the protection of the national industry and access to quality products for the Venezuelan population.

According to a press release, during the meeting, various proposals were addressed, such as the transfer of technology from allied countries to optimize the manufacture of toys in the national territory, access to financing to boost the industry, and the implementation of operations against smuggling and piracy.

The implementation of communication campaigns to purchase products with the “Made in Venezuela” seal was also proposed.

The meeting was led by the Minister of Industries and National Production and president of the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP), Alex Saab; the Deputy Minister of National Productive Development, Laila Tajeldine and the executive director of the Venezuelan Foreign Trade Corporation (Corpovex), Vanessa Balza.

Also present were spokespersons from the Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce in Toys and Related Products (Cavenju), the Venezuelan Chamber of Toys, Sports and Recreation (Cavefaj), the company Tamanaco, Promeplas C.A, Carambola Toys and Medina Graphics.

Minister Alex Saab stressed that these actions align with President Nicolás Maduro's vision to build an economic model that prioritizes domestic production. “These tables reinforce the path to economic diversification, supporting investors in building an industry at the forefront and at the service of the Venezuelan people,” he concluded.
