Ministry of Science and Technology oversees the progress of scientific programs in Barinas

The Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MPPCYT), Gabriela Jiménez, reported on the evaluation of the first quarter of 2026 in the state of Barinas, within the framework of the actions promoted by the Ministry to strengthen science, technology and sovereignty in the country.

On his telegram channel, he indicated that during the meeting with the team of the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology, the impact of the National Scientific Semilleros Program was highlighted, which already has more than a million boys, girls and young people in scientific training processes throughout the country.

In addition, the advances of the Scientific-Peasant Alliance in Barinas were reviewed, as well as the development of the Scientific Technological and Innovation Network for the strengthening of cocoa, through the application of scientific tools aimed at improving the production of this strategic sector. She emphasized that the progress of the call for research projects led by women scientists, currently in their final phase of receiving proposals, was also evaluated.
