Ministry of Sport handed over administrative order to 19 national federations

The Ministry of Popular Power for Sports handed over the administrative order to 19 national federations to facilitate their exceptional functioning throughout the Venezuelan territory with a view to strengthening the project of massification and the high performance of athletes in the country.
The federations that received this benefit were: Badminton, Bowling, Balls and Bocce, Boxing, Taekwondo, Kenpo, Sambo, Wrestling, Modern Pentathlon, Water Sports, Golf, Karate Do, Kickingball, Padel, Surfing, Sport Hunters, Triathlon, Kickboxing and Equestrian Sports.
The Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, stressed: “We are meeting with all the sports federations reviewing the final stretch towards the Bolivarian Games, evaluating the set-up of the delegation and the conditions that will guarantee the best performance of our athletes.”
He also indicated that they also awarded awards to federations that have complied with their electoral processes in accordance with their statutes, the Fundamental Charter of each sport and the Sports Law.
Cardillo also highlighted the great coordination that exists between all the country's institutions to strengthen the national sports system, through the alliance built by the Ministry of Sports, the National Sports Institute, the Venezuelan Olympic Committee and sports federations.
“This joint effort reaffirms our commitment to turn Venezuela into a sports powerhouse and to provide our athletes with optimal conditions to represent us with pride,” he added.
The president of the Venezuelan Karate Federation, Miguel Obando, celebrated the recognition of its sponsoring entity and praised the joint work with the governing bodies of the sport.
“We thank President Nicolás Maduro, Minister Franklin Cardillo and the president of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee, María Soto, for consolidating the sport we are experiencing. This recognition reaffirms the work we have been doing in karate, where ideas and development plans that arise from the interdisciplinary work promoted by the Ministry of Sports are integrated,” he said.
