Ministry of Transport begins work to restore a collapsed section of the Píritu-Clarines road

Officials from the Ministry of People's Power for Transportation began work to repair the 36-inch sewer that ceased in the La Mascota sector, the Píritu-Clarines section of Troncal 9 in Anzoátegui state. The fault in the road that connects the East with the center and the west of the country keeps vehicle traffic restricted to a single channel.

The president of the State Road and Infrastructure Corporation (COVINEA), Katiuska Homsi confirmed that due to the subsidence of the asphalt layer, the vehicle restriction is maintained, although she clarified that she is already carrying out temporary road conditioning outside the so-called La Costa highway.

In the same way, he said that jointly between the regional executive and the Ministry for Transport, the site was intervened with the use of heavy machinery, and tubes have already been moved for replacement as well as the transfer of granular material.

The government secretary of the eastern entity, also indicated that it is estimated that the work will be completed in 72 hours, considering the weather conditions.
