In a decisive action to strengthen public services, organized popular power achieved the total reactivation of the Wilmer Pérez Pumping System, located in the Tovar municipality of the Bolivarian state of Mérida.
This infrastructure, responsible for
supplying 70 percent of the population of the jurisdiction, is operational again after a profound technical intervention that guarantees
stability in the distribution of vital liquid.
The recovery
of the system was possible thanks to a joint effort between the Ministry of Popular Water Power and CORPOELEC, whose specialized technical crews carried out the replacement of one of the main
pumps and carried out the comprehensive adaptation of the control panels.
These maneuvers made it possible to stabilize the voltage and correct mechanical faults in components of submersible and horizontal pumps that had bearings worn out by years of use, details a press release from the ministerial portfolio.
