MINPPPI and SAIME issue certificates to members of the Wayúu ethnic group

The Ministry of Popular Power for Indigenous Peoples (MINPPPI), in conjunction with the
Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens
(SAIME), organized a special day for the identification of more than 2,000 members of the Wayuu people of the Alta Guajira parish, in the state of Zulia.

This was reported by the MINPPPI on its social networks, where it highlighted that the activity is part of the “Indigenous Route”, which was accompanied by the Deputy Minister for Habitat, Land and Community Development with Identity for Indigenous Peoples, Marianny Romero.

This day has served three indigenous communes made up of 42 Community Councils in 12 days. The communities favored by the identity operation were: Cojoro, Taparo, Wososopo, Putchia, Pololima, Walantalao, Jasay, Kasusain, Poloos, Malimaikirra and Polumou.
