Within the framework of the II National Popular Consultation 2025, the community of the Plaza municipality, specifically in the village of Coronela Manuelita Sáez, has demonstrated exemplary and organized participation. Maigualida Medrano, community representative, highlighted the importance of this event to strengthen participatory democracy in Miranda.

“We are a community organized through community leaders and street bosses. In this center we have approximately 1,200 registered voters. Today, the community has selected seven priority projects out of a total of more than 30 proposals presented at participatory meetings. It is important to highlight that these assemblies are inclusive and not representative; all members have a voice and vote,” said Medrano.

In this regard, Medrano emphasized that the real success of this process lies in the active participation of the community. “They are the heroes of this process. Every person who votes contributes to the development of our community and shows that together we can build a better future.”

From 8 in the morning, citizens went to the voting centers, where the polls operated without any news thanks to the support of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Medrano stressed.

The Second National Popular Consultation 2025, which is being held throughout the national territory, the National Electoral Council (CNE) enabled more than 5,718 voting centers and 7,438 polling stations. This process allows communities to prioritize projects among more than 30,000 proposals presented in citizen assemblies, framed in the Seven Transformations Plan (7T), promoted by President Nicolás Maduro.
