Misión Cultura held a knitting training workshop for communities in Falcón

The Cultural Mission Foundation in the state of Falcón developed the knitting workshop that took place in Plaza Linares de Coro and included the trainers, Siria Loaiza and Milagros Loaiza, master weavers, who joined together to share their knowledge from their communities.

Through the social network Instagram, Misión Cultura indicated that the event is part of the celebrations of the World Public Knitting Day, and certificates were awarded to the weavers in the space.

“The activity provided creators with the opportunity to market excellent quality pieces, thus promoting their economic autonomy. Another fundamental purpose was to motivate and include new people interested in learning this ancient knowledge, ensuring the continuity of this tradition,” he said.

In addition, authorities from the Cultural Mission Foundation thanked Professor Lisbeth Navarro for the tireless work of Professor Lisbeth Navarro, who is the organizer of these training workshops that seek to creatively promote these initiatives for the empowerment of Popular Power.
