On February 15, the Nevado Mission began a large National Campaign for Sextuple Canine Vaccination, completely free of charge, throughout the Venezuelan territory. The goal is to ensure the welfare of companion animals and prevent diseases that can be fatal to pets.
From Los Caobos Park, the president of the institution, Maigualida Vargas, explained that vaccination is the main method to prevent diseases such as coronavirus, parvovirus, distemper and leptospirosis.
The initiative, as reported by the newspaper Última Noticias, is part of animal health policies that promote prevention and universal access to veterinary services, so that every citizen can protect their pets without economic limitations.
In addition to the six-fold vaccination, the days include rabies immunization, deworming, veterinary visits, nail cutting and cleaning. Vargas extended an invitation to animal organizations and foundations to join this collective effort, stressing that veterinary care must be a benefit available to everyone.
