A total of 184 dental prostheses were adapted and installed to 97 patients in the state of Aragua through the Sonrisa Mission.

As for the distribution by location, at the headquarters of Los Samanes in Maracay, 53 people were favorably impacted by the placement of 100 dental prostheses. For their part, 44 beneficiaries will be served at the headquarters in Santa Cruz in the coming days, who will receive 84 prosthetic pieces adapted to their needs.

Abelardo García, state director of the Sonrisa Mission, highlighted in statements collected by the newspaper Úlmas Noticias, that the absence of teeth has a negative impact on the digestive process, causes weakness in the maxillofacial structure, accelerates facial aging and generates insecurity in patients.

“Prosthetic rehabilitation is a need of the people, and we are here to provide that benefit,” said the regional authority.

Although the elderly population is the one that most frequently demands treatments such as prophylaxis, endodontics, extractions and prostheses, the institution confirmed that its professionals offer medical care to people of all ages.
