Monagas: More than 470 inhabitants of the Teresén indigenous community benefited from a health day

The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MPPS), with the support of the Government of Monagas State, developed a day of comprehensive medical care in the Teresén indigenous community, in which 477 inhabitants were treated.

The day included general medicine, pediatrics, deworming, vaccination, physiatry, road medicine and educational sessions. In addition, the blood pressure measurement service was performed, a priority health condition in the prevention of chronic diseases.

The regional coordinator of this health department for the indigenous people, Luis Arturo Zapata Carrasquel, reported that 'the day not only stood out for the number of patients treated, but also for the warmth and respect with which each member of the community was treated. '
