Monagas closed as leader in Weightlifting in the III Municipal National Sports Games 2025 with 6 gold medals and one bronze.

The Eastern team was followed by Trujillo with 6 golds and Falcón with 4 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze.

Ariannys Palomo from Monagua won the gold medal in the 36 kg category, achieving a score of 39.5 kg in the starting mode and 37 kg in the envión, for a total sum of 76.5 kg.

For her part, Gabriela Infante won three gold medals for Monagas, in the 48-kilo division, triumphing in the starting, envión and total modalities.

On the last day, in the 54 kg men's category, Elvis León from Miranda state, was crowned with 41 kg at the start and 42.5 kg in the effort to accumulate 83.5 kg.

The second place went to Ethan Rodríguez, from Apure, who dominated the start with 43 kg, but declined with 38 in the environment, for a total of 81. Sebastián Méndez (Lara) secured third place by completing 40 kg at the start and 40 kg for 80 kg in the cumulative.
