More than a hundred cyclists gathered this Good Friday, in Barlovento, Miranda state, to take the traditional route of the Seven Temples in a 2-wheeled vehicle.
“The tour, which began near the town of Higuerote and will end in Tacarigua de Mamporal, is a 30-year tradition,” explained Luis Rodríguez, one of the protagonists and organizers of the day.
“This is an emblematic activity that represents not only physical effort, but also an activity of faith. We toured seven temples in different towns, accompanied by a large number of cyclists who understand the religious meaning of these Holy Week dates,” said Rodríguez.
Rodríguez stressed that the logistics and impetus of this round fall on the group “Pedal Without Limits”, a group with more than three decades of experience traveling the roads of Barlovento.
“The ride is completely free, thanks to the sponsorship of Pedal Sin Límite, friends and collaborators who believe in the power of sports to transform communities,” he said.
For his part, Julio Martinez, another participant, pointed out that the purpose is to continue to encourage people to exercise cycling. “We try to bring in as many people as possible and the ride is completely free,” he said.
He also asked drivers to be very aware when traveling on avenues, and that cyclists drive with care and practice the sport healthily.
