More than 120 street vendors presented their products at the Caracas Gallo Pinto Fest

The Directorate of Urban Control, through the coordination of Popular Street Economy of the Mayor's Office of Caracas, held a festival called “Caracas Gallo Pinto Fest” that brought together more than 120 street vendors on July 19 and 20 in Diego Ibarra Square in the Libertador municipality.
This event was attended by more than 120 vendors who joined the activity with the objective of publicizing each of their economic initiatives.
In addition to participating in recreational activities, adults, young people and teenagers were able to taste some of the products offered by the invited street vendors.
Harry López, a street vendor in the hamburger business, highlighted that during the activity carried out in Plaza Diego Ibarra in the center of the capital city, they supported the Mayor's Office of Caracas.
“The colleagues of Popular Street Economy live to support this Children's Day very happy, pleased with the people and with the children and thank God in a very beautiful event,” he said.
Richard Gil, another vendor, highlighted the organization of this event, which included everything needed for attendees, as well as for street vendors.
“Everyone was prepared to facilitate the movement of people in the different areas set up for activities, as well as so that sellers could offer their products,” he said.
Geral Suniaga, a boy participating in the day, thanked President Maduro for this activity dedicated to infants where he participated in soccer games, rubber balls, inflatable mattresses and even won a toy as a prize in one of the dozens of raffles that were held.
Garbín Flores, representing one of the participating girls, celebrated this day for her children and the rest of the people of Caracas.
“This type of event is excellent because, in addition to serving children, it boosts the national economy, which is recovering after the sanctions and blockade against the country,” he reiterated.
The organizing committee of the Mayor's Office of Caracas, through the Directorate of Urban Control, the coordination of Popular Economy, emphasized that this festival aims to recognize and promote the economic activities that are generated in the city with the popular economy and in this way to promote the recreational and mobility conditions of Caracas people of all ages.
In addition to the variety of tastings for the general public in terms of the different permitted items and Food Truck, School Fairs and all the alternative street economy, there were ice cream, Creole candies, chicha, cotufas and cotton candy, refreshing drinks, products and arts made by our artisans and artisans.
In addition, children on July 20 Children's Day enjoyed the placement of inflatable mattresses, dolls, recreational devices, circus, jugglers, acrobats, clowns, urban dance, singers and musical groups and Samba.
