A total of 147 Venezuelans are participating in the start of the major league exhibition games, at spring training camps,

Philadelphia Phillies, based at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, Florida, is the team with the highest number of Venezuelan players called up in the preseason with a total of 10, of which six are part of the Roster of 40: José Alvarado, Jean Cabrera, Moisés Chace, Jesús Luzardo, Rafael Marchán and Gabriel Rincones Jr. ; while Christian Cairo, Aroon Escobar, René Pinto and Bryan Rincón attend with guest status, LVBP press reports.

The Kansas City Royals signed experienced receiver Elías Díaz, who was in free agency, to a minor league contract this Friday.

With Díaz, the total number of criollos in the royal spring camp rose to six, three of them on the Roster of 40 (Luinder Ávila, Maikel García, Salvador Pérez) and another three as guests (Díaz, Ramón Ramírez and Abraham Toro).

The pitchers and catchers were reported between February 10 and 13, with preparation games scheduled from February 20.

On March 3 and 4, MLB teams will play 30 blank games against the national teams that will participate in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

Meanwhile, from March 19 to 22, 16 special exhibition games will be held, featuring each organization's best prospects.

The last scheduled exhibition games in the Grapefruit and Cactus League will take place between March 23 and 24, including traditional series such as the “Freeway Series” between the Dodgers and the Angels.
