More than 17 nations participate in the anniversary of the Hugo Chávez Chair at UICOM

More than 17 nations come together this Wednesday in the electronic version of the Hugo Chávez Communicator International Chair, which commemorates the first anniversary of its creation at the International University of Communications (UICOM).

Deputy Tania Díaz, rector of UICOM, specified that the academic space is held every last Wednesday of the month with Commander Chávez as the speaker, in addition to stressing the need to investigate his legacy and pedagogy in the current situation that Venezuela is going through.

Díaz added that the Simon Bolivar Institute, the Pedro Gual University, the Rómulo Gallegos Center for Latin American Studies and the Center for History Studies adhere to this initiative, institutions that combine the relevance of the historical narrative to decipher the present and strengthen the decisions that shape the desired future.

On this day, the chair addressed the capacity of Simón Bolívar to transform himself in the face of adversity, a reference that the deputy linked to the current Venezuelan experience, while exalting the humanism of Hugo Chávez, his political clarity and the feeling of Venezuelanity.

The activity was attended by deputies Blanca Eekhout, president of the Simon Bolivar Institute, Jehyson Guzmán, Nohely Pocaterra and Julio Chirinos, coordinator of the chair.
