More than 200 sterilizations were performed through the Surgical Plan in Maturín

More than 200 sterilizations were performed through the National Surgical Plan 2025, in the state of Monagas.

The interventions were carried out at the Dr. Manuel Núñez Tovar University Hospital (HUMazo News Team), in Maturín, and had at least 170 workers from this healthcare center and the Regional Health Directorate, reinforced by an elite group from the Ministry of Health.

“With discipline, dedication, commitment and responsibility; we have operated on those who were recruited by the 1x10, who were in control and who were evaluated for this plan for minor surgery, gynecoobstetric, ophthalmological procedures, hernioplasties, open lipectomies and laparoscopic cholecystectomies,” said Juan Carlos Gómez, director of the HUMazo News Team.

The patients also received post-operative treatment, such as antibiotics, pain relievers and gastric protectors.

“These medicines, as well as disposable surgical supplies and materials, were supplied by the Ministry of Health and Governor Ernesto Luna so that our patients can be operated on under safe clinical standards,” he said.
