More than 26 educational units kick off carnival in Las Tejerias de Aragua

The streets of the Central Quarter of Las Tejerías in the state of Aragua were transformed this Friday into a setting of fantasy and cultural roots, with the parade of troupes from 26 educational institutions and communes in the town, with which more than 1,600 people began the 2026 Tourist Carnivals.
Boys, girls, young people and teaching staff, together with the People's Power, paraded to the rhythm of traditional melodies from the carnival period and each educational institution and commune transformed recycling materials into allegorical costumes of the national flora and fauna.
The mayor, Régulo La Cruz, together with his government team, stressed that the day was ideal for sharing with the family, “in Las Tejerías we continue to consolidate peace and tranquility, so that, throughout the holidays, in a family union, we will enjoy multiple activities”.
The program of the Las Tejerías Tourist Carnival 2026 will continue tomorrow, Saturday, with the celebration of collective marriages, in connection with the Day of Love and Friendship and, later, with the election of the queen of the municipality, in the spaces of Plaza Bolivar in the jurisdiction.
