More than 30 thousand people shouted Carnival in Barcelona

To the rhythm of calypso, salsa, tropical music and with great enthusiasm, more than 30,000 people celebrated the traditional Carnival cry in Barcelona 2025, which was accompanied by the governor of the entity, Luis José Marcano, and the mayor Sugey Herrera.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, this event, which kicks off the Carnival festivities in the capital city of the state of Anzoátegui, started with three buggies that departed from the emblematic sectors Las Casitas, 29 de Marzo and Guamachito; it carried with it the animation of Apollo 3C, Fauco Calipso and Jumping Calipso, to the emblematic Libertadores Square.

The renowned DJs Carlitos Bronco y Bandy and Ricardo Criollo House showed the best of their repertoire to the crowd that gathered in the group of squares located in the historic center of Barcelona.

The local president highlighted the massive attendance in the largest square in Venezuela and recognized the reference that this space has become for recreation, culture and the encounter of the Barcelona family.

“We are very happy to celebrate. This is a preview of what the Carnival in Barcelona 2025 will be, which brings a lot of surprises for everyone. It's a sign of the joy of the Anzoatiguense,” he said.

For his part, Governor Luis José Marcano thanked the people of Barcelona for their massive participation in this transformed space for enjoyment, knowledge of history, entrepreneurship, commercial activity and tourism.

“Even if some outside the country want war, here we want to enjoy peace. Today we Venezuelans are here, the people of Anzoátegui at peace, enjoying themselves as a family. Regardless of everyone's position, here we are like the big family that we Anzoatiguenses are, the big family that we Venezuelans are. We are very happy to be able to see the massive participation,” he emphasized.
