More than 300 students qualified for the final phase of the Venezuelan Astronomy Olympics 2026

A total of 316 students went to the final phase of the Venezuelan Astronomy Olympics 2026, an initiative of the Ministry of Science and Technology to promote the study of space in the country.

Minister Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez reported that the classification includes 101 girls and young women, a figure that supports actions aimed at expanding women's participation in scientific areas.

Those selected will begin preparing for the final round, a phase that is part of the National Scientific Seed Program and of the joint work with the Ministry of Education.

With this activity, the National Executive maintains its line of impetus to scientific training and the strengthening of capacities linked to technological development.
