More than 5 tons of food at fair prices were sold in Maturín

With the support and guidance of Governor Ernesto Luna, farmers in the communes of Rio Chiquito-Manapire, belonging to the municipality of Piar; Ezequiel Zamora and Caribes del Turimiquire de Cedeño, offered more than 5 tons of food for distribution and sale in 18 territorial axes of Maturín.

This was reported by the government of Monagas through a press release in which it detailed that among the products brought from the countryside to the town, there are an assortment of vegetables, fruits, coffee, caraotas, cassava and cheese; as well as fish and pork, “all at prices accessible to the consumer”.

It was also announced that this is the second day of its kind that takes place and added that the goal is to have 50 producing communes that offer their products at these peasant fairs.
