A survey conducted by Reuters/Ipsos recorded that 51% of adults in the United States said they did not support Pentagon attacks in Caribbean and Pacific waters.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights called for a halt to the actions.
“These attacks and their increasing human cost are unacceptable,” emphasized human rights commissioner Volker Türk, in a statement released by his office.
According to what was published by the Prensa Latina website, the operations initiated in August have left nearly 80 deaths and were executed without approval from Congress. Legislators, international organizations and civil organizations questioned the legality of the attacks.
