With the aim of ensuring the best conditions in the infrastructure and cultural venues of the municipality of Valencia, Mayor Dina Castillo fulfilled a work schedule at the Municipal Theater of Valencia, the city's centuries-old architectural jewel, where important internal renovation works are being carried out, for the full enjoyment of all Valencians, visitors and tourists who enjoy the capital of Carabobo.
In this sense, a tour was made of the main spaces of the iconic cultural center located in the heart of the city's Historic Quarter, one of the most important buildings of its kind in Venezuela, a heritage of all Carabobeños, which celebrated 130 years of existence in 2024 as the epicenter of the artistic life of the entity.
After this meeting, he received detailed information on the work under way for the maintenance of the Municipal Theater, which includes, among other actions, the renovation of the seats in the Great Hall (cushions, fabric and steel supports); restoration of curtains, maintenance and change of air conditioners, remodeling of basement dressing rooms, operating room and Estrella dressing room, restoration and maintenance of tramoya equipment, remodeling of bathrooms in the reception area, in addition to the renovation of the equipment of professional lighting and sound.
“The Municipal Theater is one of the most beautiful attractions we have in the Historic Quarter of Valencia, and we will continue to promote it. There are many projects that we will continue to develop together with the theater team. I truly congratulate all the men and women who live here in the theater, for their passion, commitment and dedication,” he said.
He pointed out that today “we achieved a beautiful theater, because its people love it, value it, protect it and care for it and they only ask for more support to strengthen it and that this jewel continues to be maintained and celebrates 500 more years, so that all generations that come can live and enjoy it as we feel it today,” he said.
