More than 6 thousand people enjoyed the Sixth National Craft Fair

The 6th. National Craft Fair “Art, Utility and Memory” concluded at the National Art Gallery, with a positive balance that included the attendance of more than 6,000 people and a call for peace.
The fair was held from December 4 to 13 and was a training and meeting space that brought together 685 participants in a total of 131 academic, technical, recreational and recreational activities, including forums, discussions, workshops and trade demonstrations.
The closing ceremony was accompanied by the president of the Art Network, Aracelis García; the Deputy Minister of Image and Space Arts, Mary Pemjean; and the Deputy Minister of Identity and Cultural Diversity, Ignacio Barreto.
García described the sales volume as a significant achievement and highlighted the positive momentum of the Great Mission Viva Venezuela in making popular cultures visible, especially national crafts.
It welcomed effective coordination with various state institutions such as SENCAMER, SAPI, Marca País and the Ministry of Popular Power for National Trade and Tourism. “This has been a favorable year for the craft trade, thanks to regional fairs, corporate purchases and participation in international events such as Nicaragua Diseña, FIART in Havana (Cuba) and Expoartesanía Colombia 2025. Craftsmanship took off and is weaving and weaving. With patience, we have succeeded,” he said.
For her part, Deputy Minister Mary Pemjean praised the work and creativity of artisans, inviting Venezuelans to cultivate pride in national cultural diversity.
In addition, Deputy Minister Ignacio Barreto called on artisanal creators to reflect and to actively contribute to the construction of the country that they want to bequeath to future generations.
The 6th edition of the fair was part of a tribute to the Bicentennial of the Chuquisaca Decree (1826), enacted by El Libertador Simón Bolívar, which highlighted the value of green handicrafts and sovereign artisanal production in a country that has abundant raw materials for their production.
