With the purpose of guaranteeing comprehensive and preventive health care for Venezuelan women, the Great Venezuela Women's Mission held a national day in various states of the country, during which more than 700 women were treated, as part of the policies being implemented by the Bolivarian Government.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Health, the conference was held in different states of the country, through the outpatient network, popular clinics and community spaces of the National Public Health System, with the participation of multidisciplinary teams from the Comprehensive Community Health Area (ASIC) and the Specialized Network.
In each region, the day made it possible to bring health services directly closer to communities, strengthening medical care and disease prevention. For example, in the state of Guárico, more than 350 women were treated, while in Cojedes, more than 120 women were treated; in Aragua, a total of 141 benefited, and in Mérida 181.
In compliance with the first summit of the Great Venezuela Women's Mission, aimed at the comprehensive protection of women, the beneficiaries received free medical care in general and internal medicine, pediatrics, prenatal control, screening for high blood pressure, measurement of height and weight, as well as other specialized services, ensuring timely access to health and disease prevention.
In addition, through the pharmacy service, more than 30 thousand single doses of drugs were distributed, strengthening the treatment and medical follow-up of the patients treated.
