The Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, reported that two million Venezuelan boys and girls are served daily through the School Feeding Program (PAE).

From the state of La Guaira, Rodríguez highlighted that, with the addition of refrigeration trucks, the school meal plan “has grown by 36%”, which has been a fundamental factor in the growth of enrollment, a sign that “we are growing not only in infrastructure, but in care”.

He also said that the food that is cooked and processed in the PAE “is national production that goes hand in hand with economic growth” led by the National Government. In addition, he exalted that there has been an exponential increase in schooling and class attendance.

“We have challenged all community circuits that no child can miss the school system, which has made us above 97% of schooling and the remaining 3% is associated with families who have difficulties due to extreme poverty, addictions or catastrophic diseases and based on that we are generating a plan to ensure that it is absolutely guaranteeing,” he said.

For her part, the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed that these positive numbers “reflect where the investment and currency of a blocked country are going (...) where the most important thing we have prioritized is the food, education, health and well-being of workers”.

He asserted that the falsification that seeks to justify intervention in Venezuela “is totally unacceptable and we do not accept it” because the country is full of a people “who actively and victoriously resist and overcome themselves with their own efforts in national union with social cohesion, overcome difficulties.”
