Cuba received the remains of 32 fighters who were killed during the attack carried out by the United States in Venezuela that resulted in the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro, and the first lady, Congresswoman Cilia Flores.

The reception ceremony will be accompanied by the Cuban people, who will gather on Rancho Boyeros Avenue to honor those who gave their lives in defense of Venezuelan sovereignty.

The solemn march to the headquarters of the Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR) will be the first act of popular homage, a reflection of the moral union between the peoples of Cuba and Venezuela in the face of imperial aggression, TELESUR reports.

Starting at 10:00 a.m., local time, the population will have access to MINFAR to dismiss the fighters, whose remains will be exposed in a burning chapel.

The day will end at 4:00 p.m., when the remains of the fighters are buried in the pantheons of the Fallen for Defense in their respective localities. Each municipality will organize posthumous tribute events.
