This Tuesday, January 06, the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported that the Public Ministry (MP) has appointed three prosecutors to investigate the casualties of innocents and soldiers following the military aggression of the United States (USA) against Venezuela.
“We have appointed three prosecutors as Public Prosecutor's Office to
investigate the dozens of innocent civilian and military casualties that occurred in the
midst of this war crime, of this unusual aggression against the
Venezuelan Homeland,” he said during the notification ceremony of the installation of the
new board of directors of the National Assembly (AN).
In addition, in his position as Attorney General of the Republic, he pointed out
that, assuming the voice of the People and of the nations that believe in democracy, he immediately demands
the freedom of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro
and the First Lady, Cilia Flores,
He noted that the capture of the head of state and his wife “has
been totally null and void, violating international law, the
international pact on civil and political rights, the universal declaration of human
rights and the Constitution of the United States of
America itself.”
For this reason, he called on international organizations to speak out not only to condemn this action, but to “on the basis of what international law itself, now mortally wounded, act accordingly to bring about the immediate freedom of the President of the Republic and his wife”.
