The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, highlighted that the Public Ministry (MP) has managed to execute 6,800 convictions for sexual abuse against children and adolescents from August 2017 to November 2025.

Regarding the commemoration of the World Day for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse, where the senior official emphasized that the institutional effort charged 16,617 people and filed 15,140 charges for crimes in this area.

He also indicated that through the Paedophilia is Crime campaign, which began in 2022, 2,839 awareness-raising and training activities have been carried out.
