The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported that arrest warrants were requested against members of the team of the political party Vente Venezuela who tried to assassinate the opposition deputy of Cambiemos Movimiento Ciudadano.
Through his account on the social network X, Saab explained that the actions are carried out by the MP through the National Prosecutor's Office 9, specialized in Homicide and Serious Crimes, continuing with the investigation initiated for frustrated homicide committed by an extremist group from Vente Venezuela, during the night of last Friday, July 19, in the parking lot of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV).
In this regard, he specified that the MP requested an arrest warrant against Anthony Vega, Jhon Álvarez and Eleyn Echarry, for the crimes of Qualified Homicide in the degree of Frustration, Personal Injury and Agavillation against Inacio Da Costa and Adrianlis Gil.
“The complaint filed by the opposition deputy Inacio Da Costa (#Lesionado on various parts of the body with a bottle, with which they tried to assassinate him), was expanded at the headquarters of the Public Prosecutor's Office in charge of the investigation,” he said.
Saab also highlighted that the victims were referred to the forensic medication service, for medical evaluation to record the serious injuries that were caused to them, and eyewitness statements were taken to prove the involvement of the individuals under investigation.
In the message, the prosecutor said that “it was possible to determine that Antony Vega, who made death threats against his victim, calling him a “scorpion” who would not mind murdering since he had already been imprisoned.”
