MP together with deputies and Supreme Court establish protocol for the immediate application of the Amnesty Law

The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported on the holding of a working group, this Friday, February 20, at the headquarters of the Public Ministry (MP), with the objective of designing the mechanism for implementing the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence , recently approved unanimously in the National Assembly (AN).

The meeting to ensure cohesion in the application of the rule was attended by Deputy Jorge Arreaza, president of the Special Commission for the Monitoring of the Amnesty Law and other member parliamentarians; Caryslia Rodríguez, president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ); Elsa Gómez, magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice and the general directors of the Public Ministry.

The main result of this meeting focused on the drafting and approval of a protocol for the expedited application of the Amnesty Act.

This technical instrument aims to eliminate bureaucratic obstacles and ensure that all justice administration bodies act in a coordinated manner.

“Such a protocol will ensure that benefits are implemented quickly and effectively for individuals related to the facts established in the law,” Saab said.
