MPPC announces call for the National Culture Award

The Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC) launched the nationwide call for the National Culture Award 2023-2024, which seeks to recognize the trajectory, legacy and works of those who contribute to enriching the cultural heritage of Venezuelans.
According to information from the MPPC, in this edition, the National Culture Award will be awarded, as in the past awards, in the mentions: Architecture, Plastic Arts, Crafts, Cinema, Popular Culture, Dance, Photography, Humanities, Literature, Music, Traditional Knowledge and Theater.
The winners of the National Culture Award will receive a work of visual art, a diploma with a unique award and a monthly and lifetime award of honor.
In addition, the MPPC indicated that the nominations in its different mentions may be made by natural or legal persons, public and private; organized communities, collectives and any other organization or instance of the People's Power. They may also be carried out on the applicant's own initiative.
He noted that they will also award an honorable mention to creators whose trajectory is focused on various facets of creation and who contribute to the development of the nation's sociocultural processes, becoming the genuine representation of Venezuelan culture. This mention can be granted post-mortem.
Applicants must have at least 20 years of verifiable experience in their respective discipline.
It is important to note that the call will be open until November 22, 2024 and those who wish to apply should send their curriculum summary and documentation validating their years of experience to the email [email protected].
