MUCI opened its doors to the national meeting on scientific collections in Venezuela

The Science Museum (MUCI) opened its doors to host the “National Meeting on Scientific Collections in Venezuela: An Evaluation of Archaeological Collections”, an event that brings together 41 archaeologists and specialists in the area, as reported by the aforementioned museum body attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture through the social network Instagram.
This space will hold conferences and meetings where work tables will be held in order to generate proposals aligned with the Second Transformation of the National Government.
In addition, the meeting seeks to generate a work agenda focused on scientific and cultural proposals, as well as to protect the identity of original peoples in collective memory.
The sectoral vice-president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, added that at the intersectoral meeting with the Ministry for Culture, it will make it possible to advance in the definition of policies to guarantee the protection, conservation and preservation of material heritage.
The Minister of the People's Power of Science and Technology also specified that “the political will of academies, faculties, schools, postgraduate degrees must be defined; we must define the plan, the politics and those responsible”, to rescue the country's identity and historical processes, information from the Mincyt web portal.
