The Arturo Michelena House Museum (MAM) inaugurated the emotional exhibition “In You We Believe Lord”, which presents six works by the renowned Venezuelan painter Arturo Michelena.
This exhibition seeks to pay homage to Holy Week, masterfully merging art with religiosity.
Michelena's six paintings, from the collection of the National Museums Foundation (FMN), reflect the artist's deep Catholic roots and offer a unique look at biblical passages referring to this important celebration.
Room 5, known as “The Bedroom” of the House Museum, was the space chosen to house this exhibition. Visitors will be able to appreciate images of Jesus Christ and biblical scenes that invite reflection and recollection typical of Holy Week.
Abraham Fernández, executive director of the MAM, said that “this is an opportunity provided by the FMN and the Arturo Michelena House Museum to expand traditional visits to temples during this period, merging traditional Venezuelan religiosity with culture, heritage and our identity.”
The exhibition “In You We Believe Lord” will be open to the public for two months, offering visitors and parishioners an enriching experience that connects art with spirituality.
